Important Roof Snow Load Information

Dear Barnard Families:

I hope you are all enjoying the last few days of our winter break.  As we return to school I’m sure you are aware of concerns in several communities of snow loads on school roofs, especially the flat ones.

Fortunately, we are able to inspect the gym roof from the balcony in the main building. Just before the break, I enlisted the assistance of W. J. Brunet, who cleared the existing snow. Pictures were taken last week and again on Monday, February 16 to track snow loads, should we need to enlist their help again.

I assure you that every precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of our structures and the precious students who use them.  As always, if you have questions or concerns, contact me at school, email, or call my cell (603) 387-1642.

Yours truly,

Ken Darsney (Mr. “D”)

Barnard School Principal
